IF YOU'VE EVER:
Had trouble finding a studio just for adults.
Struggled with getting "stuck in your head".
Felt intimidated at the thought of starting.
We got you.
Look at the worst thing that’s ever happened to you and ask “How is this the best thing that’s ever happened to me?"

Hi, I'm April MacLean, founder of Infuse Dance Studio. This quote seemed like the most fitting way to sum up to story of Infuse.
In 1994, I went into foster care. 22 homes latter I was living in my car, wondering if I was worth anything more.
At 25 years old I decided to try school, so I enrolled in a community college and decided a Jazz class sounded like a good way to fulfill my PE requirement.
It was an instantaneous love affair. Dance was the first therapy that made sense to me. It was so all-encompassing. I couldn't be anywhere else but in the moment. It gave me full control over my body. It let me express without talking. It was magic.
Dance has been my world ever since. I ended up getting my degree in it and opened the studio in 2011 for two reasons:
1. There was no place for adults to dance in my city and
2. All of the studios I'd tried had felt weirdly competitive and shallow.
I wanted to create a space where all levels and bodies felt welcome. The way that dance changes your spirit is universal. It should be felt by anyone who wants it.
I am so proud of this space and the people in it. You can learn more about me here.
What is like to dance here?
Infuse started livestreaming all classes in Spring of 2020. So the meaning of "studio" now has two parts:
Over the years, lots of dancers have moved away and wrote us to talk about how hard it is to find dance. The solution was simple: live stream all of our classes.
We have a live cam in both of our studios and also took the opportunity to start working with satellite teachers. Teachers we've always wanted to work with but couldn't because of proximity. Teachers like this one, or this one, and definitely this one.
It really is a happy place. Check out this video of our open house-- an event we hold every January.
We're all about diverse classes, a welcoming environment, and lots of opportunities: We have performance teams, competitive teams, summer flashmobs, holiday parties, a teacher training program, and more.
Dance is really powerful, so we see so many ways to use it past a standard class schedule. There's always room for more cool ways to get dance into our lives.
